Jim Charette is a sought after sales coach, author and speaker. A persuasive communicator, innovative trainer and motivational advocate, Jim has coached hundreds of sales professionals over the past 20 years and has a reputation for consistently holding his clients accountable for implementing acquired knowledge and skills.
Jim honed his sales skills, first in advertising sales for The New York Times and later in the financial services industry. After a successful 25-year career with Merrill Lynch as a Vice President and top financial advisor, he wanted to help other professionals fine-tune their sales skills.
Jim immersed himself in the training process at Dale Carnegie Training, and set up shop as a professional sales coach in 2001. Since then, he has worked one-on-one and through group seminars and workshops to help sales professionals uncover new business opportunities.
Jim has authored articles on the art of sales and effective communication, and shared tools, tips and tricks in his book, The Answer is Yes But First You Have to Ask. When asked to speak about or present workshops on the topic, he typically says, “Yes.”
