    Meet Jim

    With over 35 years of success as a top sales professional with some of America’s most recognized and valued companies, Jim knows how tough it can be to develop new business.

    He also understands that asking for referrals and dealing with rejection can be a huge challenge – even for the most seasoned producers. That’s why he has spent the past 20 years helping financial advisors develop the relationships that lead to opportunities – and drive business success.

    Jim honed his sales skills, first in advertising sales for The New York Times and later in the financial services industry. After a successful 25-year career with Merrill Lynch as a Vice President and top financial advisor, he set up shop as a professional sales coach in 2001. Since then, he has worked one-on-one and through group seminars and workshops to help financial advisors acquire more clients and more assets.

    Jim has authored articles on the art of sales and effective communication, and shared tools, tips and tricks in his book, The Answer is Yes But First You Have to Ask. A sought-after keynote speaker and presenter, Jim has engaged audiences at Merrill Lynch, Pfizer, ReMax, and Tetra Pak, as well as professional associations, private groups, and educational institutions. He has also worked with organizations including New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO), New Mexico Professional Chapter of the Association for Women in Communications, and Association of Professional Insurance Women to help women address their specific asking challenges.
